We will discuss this matter at the next meeting.

Usage

Common mistakes

Both indicate location or context, but で is casual and spoken; において/における are formal and written.

に indicates direction, target, or location of existence; において/における indicate formal context or setting where an action occurs. に: 東京に行く (go to Tokyo). において: 東京において会議を開く (hold a meeting in Tokyo-formal context).

に関して focuses on the topic or subject matter; において/における focus on the setting or context. において: 環境会議において (at the environmental conference).

について is less formal and more versatile (about, concerning, per); において/における are specifically formal context markers. において: 会議において話す (talk at the conference).
